This year’s challenge was to make a film running for five minutes or less with a flash back or a wheelbarrow. There were 7 films:
Leonardo – Roger Lawrie
The Journey – Ann and Arthur Fletcher
It’s Cold Outside – Jill Lampert
South Devon Railway – Tim Easton
Eyam – Andy Wills
Frustration – Alan Moore
The Red Wheelbarrow – Ian Lane
In addition to this we watched two versions of “Aspiration”, the film of the young ballet dancer Lauren Pountney-Barnes. A version was edited by Arthur Fletcher, which was for enjoyment for the family and general public. The other was edited by Gordon Hunt as a showreel for Lauren. We discussed the differences between these two approaches.
And finally we were treated to Ian Reed’s team’s advertisement from the Adverts practical evening. It was a humorous advert that centred around a wooden ‘artist’s model’.
